Project Summary
The Second Harvest Food Rescue App enables businesses to donate surplus food to over 4,400 social service organizations across Canada. Since its launch in 2018, the app has rescued over 90 million pounds of food, preventing more than 300 million pounds of greenhouse gases from entering the atmosphere. This initiative supports community programs, shelters, and meal services, promoting food security and environmental sustainability.
